Meet Our
Local Committee
Having been recently restructured, the Local Committee's aim is to research and develop solutions to Philadelphia and Pennsylvania's most urgent problems. Given the greater accessibility to local government, the Local Committee hopes to actually pass legislation and policy through either City and State Departments or City and State elected government.

Currently, the Regional Committee is tackling the pervasive issue of lead poisoning within Philadelphia. Having already spoken to and received input from local officials about this issue, the Regional Committee aims to present a proposal to the State Department of Health to improve the standard of allowable blood lead levels in all Philadelphians.
